Clothing fabrics are the materials used to make clothing. As one of the three elements of clothing, fabric can not only interpret the style and characteristics of clothing, but also directly affect the color and shape of clothing.

In the world of clothing, clothing fabrics are diverse and changing with each passing day. But generally speaking, high-quality and high-end fabrics mostly have the characteristics of being comfortable to wear, sweat-absorbent and breathable, drape and crisp, visually noble, and soft to the touch. When making clothing for formal social occasions, you should choose pure cotton, pure wool, pure silk, and pure linen products. Most of the clothing  and underwear made of these four pure natural texture fabrics are of higher quality.

Below, a brief introduction to the characteristics of the most common underwear fabrics:

1. Pure Cotton Fabric

Pure cotton fabric is a textile made of cotton as raw material and made of warp and weft yarns intertwined vertically and horizontally through a loom. Currently, according to the actual source of processed cotton, it is divided into native cotton fabrics and recycled cotton fabrics.

Pure cotton fabrics are divided into:

① Natural white cloth: ordinary cloth, fine cloth, coarse cloth, canvas, twill gray cloth, original color cloth.

② Colored cloth: There are vulcanized blue cloth, vulcanized ink cloth, Shilin blue cloth, Shilin gray cloth, colored poplin, various colors of khaki, and various colors of Chinese cloth.

③ Printed cloth: It is cloth printed and dyed with various colors and patterns. Such as: plain printed fabric, printed twill, printed serge, printed Zhigong.

④ Yarn-dyed fabric: It is a fabric that is dyed with yarn or thread and then woven on a machine, such as checked cloth, sheet cloth, flannel, thread, decorative cloth, etc.

Characteristics of pure cotton fabrics:

① Hygroscopicity: Cotton fiber has good hygroscopicity. Under normal circumstances, the fiber can absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere. Its moisture content is 8-10%, so when it contacts human skin, it makes people feel soft and soft. Not stiff. If the humidity of cotton cloth increases and the surrounding temperature is high, all the moisture contained in the fiber will evaporate and dissipate, keeping the fabric in a water balance state and making people feel comfortable.

② Moisturizing properties: Because cotton fiber is a poor conductor of heat and electricity, the thermal conductivity is extremely low, and because cotton fiber itself has the advantages of porosity and high elasticity, a large amount of air can accumulate between the fibers, and air is a poor conductor of heat and electricity. , Therefore, pure cotton fiber textiles have good moisture retention, and wearing pure cotton fabric clothing makes people feel warm.

③ Heat resistance: Pure cotton fabrics have good heat resistance. When the temperature is below 110°C, it will only cause the water on the fabric to evaporate and will not damage the fibers. Therefore, pure cotton fabrics are not harmful to the fabrics when worn, used, washed, printed and dyed at room temperature. Impact, thereby improving the washability and wear resistance of pure cotton fabrics.

④ Alkali resistance: Cotton fiber has greater resistance to alkali. Cotton fiber will not be damaged in an alkali solution. This property is conducive to washing, disinfecting and removing impurities after consumption. It can also be used to clean pure cotton textiles. Carry out dyeing, printing and various technological processes to produce more new varieties of cotton fabrics.

⑤ Hygiene: Cotton fiber is a natural fiber, its main component is cellulose, and there are also a small amount of waxy substances, nitrogen-containing substances and pectin. Pure cotton fabrics have been tested and practiced in many aspects. There is no irritation or negative effects when the fabric comes into contact with the skin. It is beneficial to the human body when worn for a long time and has good hygienic performance.

Cotton clothing also has many disadvantages: 1. It wrinkles easily, and it is difficult to smooth out wrinkles. 2. It is easy to shrink. The shrinkage rate of pure cotton clothing is 2% to 5%, except for special processing or washing. 3. Easily deformed. Pure cotton clothing will be easily deformed, especially summer clothes because the fabric is relatively thin.

2. LYCRA fabric

Lycra is just a trade name of Invista, a former wholly-owned subsidiary of DuPont (acquired by Koch Industries for US$4.4 billion in 2004). Since the company occupies a dominant market position in the spandex field, Lycra has almost become Synonymous with all spandex yarns. It completely replaces the traditional elastic elastic cord. In clothing with special requirements such as gymnastics suits and swimsuits, Lycra is almost an indispensable element. It allows you to show off your curves, and the gel stretches freely without any sense of oppression. Not only is Lycra versatile in everyday clothing, it's also a favorite among fashion designers to create a kaleidoscope of trends. Therefore, Lycra was once called a magical fiber by delighted people, and was named after the Egyptian Sphinx, which made it even more mysterious.

Many of our designer friends like to say that they use a little Lycra when talking about their recent work. Perhaps, not only is the clothing using Lycra quite fashionable, the word itself has a strong sense of fashion.

Lycra is a new fiber introduced by DuPont in the United States. At present, any clothing using Lycra will have a triangular hangtag, and this hangtag has also become a symbol of high quality. So, what are the advantages of Lycra? According to the quality description released by DuPont, Lycra is different from traditional elastic fibers in that it can stretch up to 500% and can return to its original shape. That is to say, this kind of fiber can be stretched very easily, and after recovery, it can stick to the surface of the human body with very little binding force on the human body. Lycra fiber can be used with any fabric, including wool, linen, silk and cotton, to increase the fabric's fit, elasticity, looseness and natural characteristics, making it more flexible during movement. Moreover, Lycra is different from most spandex yarns in that it has a special chemical structure and will not grow mold in a humid and heat-sealed space after being wet with water.

Therefore, Lycra is called a "friendly" fiber, not only because it can be completely integrated with natural and artificial fibers, but also can increase the comfort, fit, freedom of movement and service life of the fabric or clothing.

LYCRA can be freely stretched 4 to 7 times, and quickly returns to its original length after external force is released. It cannot be used alone and can be interwoven with any other man-made or natural fibers. It does not change the appearance of the fabric and is an invisible fiber that greatly improves the performance of the fabric. Lycra has excellent stretchability. For knitwear, its multi-directional extension is determined by the fabric itself, and Lycra only brings elasticity that stretches and recovers. Woven fabrics are only stretchable in the direction in which Lycra is woven, such as warp knitting (straight direction) or weft knitting (crosswise direction). The trousers benefit from warp stretch, while the two-way stretch woven fabric with Lycra offers great comfort and freedom of movement in both directions. Therefore, when Lycra is added to women's ready-to-wear such as trousers and jackets, the wrinkles can be easily and automatically restored, making the clothes more elegant and not easily deformed, allowing them to move freely and feel free. Even though suits, jackets, etc. are made rigorously, there is no sense of urgency or cramping at all. T-shirts, underwear, fitness pants and other knitted products are added with a little bit of Lycra, making them both fit and comfortable, allowing them to stretch freely and move with you.

Lycra has a wide range of uses and can add extra comfort to all types of ready-to-wear clothing, including lingerie, tailored outerwear, suits, dresses, trousers, knitwear and more. It greatly improves the feel, drape and crease recovery ability of fabrics, improves the comfort and fit of various clothing, makes various clothing show new vitality, and provides a new perspective for the textile industry at the end of the 20th century and the 21st century the concept of.
